Alexander Volkanowski, Dan Hooker ‘Little Mice’ Colby Covington: ‘He deserves it, he really does’

Alexander Volkanowski and Dan Hooker are not fans of Colby Covington.

This is evident after two friends and teammates cashed in on the former UFC interim welterweight champion during his recent episode. volk and executioner performance.

“F*** off, he’s a f****** idiot, bro,” Hooker said upon mentioning Covington’s name.

“He’s an idiot,” agreed Volkanovsky.

“He’s af******* stupid, and they f****** hide him,” Hooker continued. “Like, the UFC hide the s*** out of it. They need to. They’ll slap the **** out of it. He can’t even train in PI, so they like to chuck him in the street. … he comes to Apex at night, like goes in the back door of Apex. He’s a little mouse, bro. Like, he’s p**** s***. He doesn’t stay at the host hotel. He Really goes out of his way to avoid people. It’s the weirdest thing.”

“If you’re going to play it, own it. Right?” Volkanowski said. “Own it, and don’t cry about it. Because I hear him cry, ‘Oh, I have to do this, I have to get the security guards,’ and all that. Okay, then that game **** ** Don’t play. Like, what do you want from us?”

Covington, 34, has made a lot of enemies during his UFC run. This brutal American has been attacked by fighters in the past, most notably Fabricio Werdum and Jorge Masvidal.

Werdum memorably threw a boomerang at Covington in 2017 after the welterweight called Brazilian fans a “dirty animal”, which Covington later declared “F*** Brazil”.

Similarly, Covington suffered an alleged assault at the hands of Masvidal after their UFC 272 fight outside a Miami Beach restaurant in March. Masvidal’s trial is expected to begin on December 5 and the popular veteran is facing potential felony charges if convicted.

Covington’s numerous disagreements with his fellow athletes led the fighter to split from his longtime team, the American Top Team, in 2020.

And if his comments are any indication, it’s clear that both UFC featherweight champion Volkanovski and Hooker don’t respect the way Covington handles their business.

“Whatever I say, I accept the consequences of what I say,” Hooker said. “No matter what argument I have with someone, if I see them on PI and they’re like, ‘F****** Dan Hooker, let’s fight in the car park,’ I’m just like I’ll go, ‘Yeah, all right.’ I accept what I said. I may have had a few beers at the time, but I said so. [Covington] does not accept its consequences. Like, if you go to Colby, ‘Hey Colby, I have a lot of you, dude. [Let’s fight in the] car park,’ he would go, ‘oh, oh, my safety,’ jump in your car and drive away.”

“Yes, of course,” said Volkanovsky. “It’s funny, dude – he gets to be bashing in fight week. There should be a highlight reel of how much we curse him on these shows. I swear, we’ve said a lot about him now, we’re just his Names run through all that shit and we’re rubbing that face in that mud. But he deserves it. He really does.”
