Intel's 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs will continue to support DDR4

DDR4 will still be supported by Intel's 13th-generation Raptor Lake(opens in new tab) CPU family. Many 700-series motherboards will still support DDR4 memory,

according to a list of yet-to-be-released Asrock Z790 and H770 motherboards that was leaked. There is no doubt that Asrock won't be the exclusive supplier of it.

The list was provided by Videocardz (via Computerbase.de). Models with a D4 suffix are among the Asrock boards that are listed.

As with the current generation 600-series boards, D4 denotes DDR4 capability.

The key takeaway is that Asrock will make several Z790 boards with DDR4 support. I had suspected that a number of lower

tier H770 and B760 motherboards would support DDR4, with Z790 exclusively supporting DDR5, but that’s not the case.

The list of Asrock 700-series motherboards below is not an exhaustive list of the company's products.

Completely absent are the B760 and a few additional models that will probably be released after the launch, such as the Z790 Aqua or Z790 OC Formula.
