The Sims 4 finally lets you customise the Sims' sexuality: "These are the next steps on a trip that we are still planning."
After the latest update, players of The Sims 4 will finally be able to change their Sims' sexual orientation,
But developers still have a ways to go before they fully include LGBTQ+ people.
High School Years, the newest expansion pack for The Sims 4, will come out on July 28 from the game company EA.
But on the same day, a free update will come out that will let players change the sexual orientation of their Sims for the first time.
As of right now, any Sim can fall in love with or be sexually interested in any other Sim.
The developers of Sims 4 worked with GLAAD and the It Gets Better Project to make this feature.
When making a Sim, players will now be able to choose options for romantic attraction, sexual attraction,
And whether or not their Sim is still figuring out who they are as a person.
During the game, Sims who are not exploring will
"Firmly reject advances from genders they are not interested in," while Sims who are still figuring things out can grow and change.
